Linmere are teaming with Central Beds Council, to play a big part in this year’s Modeshift TravelWise Week, from Monday 16 to Sunday 22 September. TravelWise week is a national campaign to promote active travel, and other cleaner and healthier transport choices, coinciding with European Mobility Week and World Car Free Day, on Saturday 22 September.
To support the campaign, along with Central Beds Council, we’re going to be promoting some fun and rewarding initiatives to encourage Linmere residents, and neighbours, to explore alternative travel options. These include walking, cycling around Linmere, as well as public transport on bus and rail beyond.
Starting on Monday 16 September, we’re going to run some activities every day, including our TRAVELWISE SCAVENGER HUNT! – details below! We’ll also be asking residents to complete a TravelWise Pledge Card, to carry out one journey differently throughout the week!
Ready to get outside, solve some clues and win some great prizes?
To build some excitement for this year’s TravelWise Week, we’re giving away a prize every day, from Monday 16 September to Sunday 22 September. And when we say prizes, we mean prizes!
Every day of TravelWise Week, we’re going to hide a prize tin somewhere around Linmere and share its location on our social media channels. If you can work out where it is, and you can get there first, the prize is yours!
If you’re lucky enough to find one of the prize tins, call the telephone number on the prize card inside and we’ll reserve the prize for you to collect from The Farmstead.
To win a prize, you need to find the prize tin on the day it’s released and claim the prize on the same day!

Terms and conditions
1. By participating in the TravelWeek Scavenger Hunt promotion, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions. 2. The Scavenger Hunt promotion is being run by Linmere (Houghton Regis Management Ltd). 3. Participants must be aged 18 years or over. 4. By participating, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. 5. A maximum of one prize, per individual, across the TravelWise Week (16th–22nd September 2024). 6. The Scavenger Hunt promotion is free to enter, by being the first participant to recover the prize tin, on the day of prize tin being sited around Linmere. 7. The winner must claim the prize by 8:00pm on the valid prize day. Therefore, the clue and prize announced on (say) Monday 16th September 2024, must be claimed by 8:00pm on the same day, for the prize to be released. 8. The promoter will not accept any claims made on proceeding days. 9. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered. 10. You consent to any personal information you provide for the purposes of releasing the prize and those purposes as defined within Linmere’s privacy policy. 11.
