Save the date for Linmere’s annual summer celebration, as our Summer in the Park returns to Linmere Park on Saturday 22 August, from 11am to 3pm, hosted by the Land Trust.
It’s set to be a brilliant day for the whole family, with four hours of free entertainment, activities and plenty of opportunities to try something new.
Feeling adventurous? Take on the impressive seven-metre climbing tower, with full safety harnesses and friendly instructors on hand to help everyone reach the top.
The 7 metre climbing tower will offer a popular highlight!
You’ll also have the chance to meet some fascinating visitors from the Teaching Talons animal zoo. Their furry, feathery and scaly guests will include snakes, an owl and a range of other animals to see and learn about up close. Please note that handling some of the animals will require a small payment fee.
Meet some rare and feathery visitors (subject to availability).
Our younger residents can also step into the spotlight with some hands-on circus skills coaching, learning the basics and testing their balance, coordination and performance skills.
Bring your bike along
The Linmere Cycling Hub team will also be joining us, offering friendly cycling advice and basic bike checks throughout the event.
It’s a great opportunity to ask questions, pick up a few useful maintenance tips and make sure your bike is ready for more summer rides around Linmere.

Summer in the Park is also a chance to meet some of the local groups and organisations that help make our community such a welcoming place.
