The brand-new Linmere Cycling Hub opens its doors at The Farmstead on Saturday April 12th, from 11am, on what’s forecast to be a sunny weekend at Linmere! To celebrate the grand opening, we’ll be hosting a whole day’s worth of fun and activities for visitors of every age!
Dr Bike Checks!
Dr Bike is here for you to have a free bike inspection by a qualified mechanic to ensure your bike is safe and roadworthy. Minor issues such as flat tyres or loose brake and gear cables are common reasons for bikes to be left unused so we’re here to help get people back get back on their bikes! The session involves a 10-minute check-up on your bike including pumping tyres, adjusting saddles, and tuning up brakes and gears. More serious repairs or broken bikes can be booked in at The Cycling Hub.

Kids Cycling Skills course – in Farmstead Halls
Use you top cycling skills to ride around the cones without putting your feet on the floor and get a bell or bike light for each successful rider.
Our indoor cycle course will help our younger visitors test out some basic skills!
Pitstop Challenge
How quickly can you change a tyre on a bike? Get on the leader board and receive a Free Linmere bottle opener key-ring for each challenger. The quickest person to complete the task wins a free bike service (labour only) at The Cycling Hub Linmere saving a whopping £80
Kids Colouring In
Use your creative skills to colour in a cycling picture and get a free bicycle bell for each entry. At the end of the day the best entry will win a goody bag of cycling accessories
Group Ride Tour of Linmere
Get a short guided tour of the wonderful cycle that and byways around Linmere. The circular route will be around 4km, suitable for most bikes, simply follow the leader and keep between the support rider at rear and get et a Free water bottle to keep you hydrated on the ride.

1. By entering the draw, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions. 2. This prize draw is being run by The Linmere Cycling Hub and Central Beds Council. 3. Participants must be aged 18 years or over. 4. By participating, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. 5. Entrants can join the free prize draw, by registering their details, in person, at the Linmere Cycling Hub, at The Farmstead, Linmere. 6. The prize draw closes at 5:00pm on Saturday 19th April, with the draw being made on Sunday 20th April. 7. The winner will be announced on Sunday 20th April, and will be contacted using their details, declared on entry. 8. The winner must claim the prize by 5:00pm on Tuesday 22nd April. 9. Should the original winner fail to contact and claim their prize, by this time and date, the prize draw will be re-run to produce a new winner.
10. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered. 10.
