Our summer event, Play in the Park, comes to Linmere Park on Sunday 02 July from 11am. Everyone from Linmere and the wider region is welcome to join in the fun, activity and play.
The big feature of Play in the Park is introducing ‘ParkPlay’ – a family-based / all ages activity programme that brings communities together through outdoor play. Now established in over 50 park spaces up and down the country, with many thousands of ‘ParkPlayers’ taking part every weekend, visitors will get to take part in the games and activities that have made ‘ParkPlay’ grow so quickly over the past couple of years. Newly promoted Premier League team Luton Town will be bringing their Community Trust team to Linmere to host some football activity programmes alongside ParkPlay.
Fit Hatters is an all-ages health programme for those who are looking lose weight, get fitter and lead a more active life. As part as this taster session, participants aged 18 to 65 can take part in a fun circuit fitness session, followed by a walking football match.
Premier League Kicks
Premier League Kicks is a national programme using the power of football to engage young people of all backgrounds and abilities in sports and personal development. As part of this taster session we will run a fun football session, including warm ups, football activities and matches.
PUMP TRACK COACHING
Join a British Cycling coach on our resident pump track to learn the basics of pump track riding and track riding skills. Visitors are advised to bring their own bike and a helmet must be worn at all times.
Bring a picnic and join in the fun!
Refreshments will be available on the day to help you cool down between activities. You’re welcome to bring a picnic and enjoy the day at your own pace!
HOW TO GET HERE
Linmere Park is based close to M1 Jct 11a, just next the A5 Northern Bypass. Parking is available close to the park and at the Farmstead, across the other side of Sundon Road. For more details, use the link here.
