Looking to get the little ones outside and keep them busy this summer? The Tiny Acorns Explores Trail is just what you need. This interactive, self-guided trail explores Linmere Park and helps keep little hands busy. Investigate the park and discover rubbing plagues to create a beautiful picture to take home afterwards.
What will I need to complete the trail:
- A trail map from Roam Café Bistro or you can download one here.
- A pencil or crayon to complete the rubbings.
- Lots of energy to run around!
The trail will take you around curling paths throughout the park
Once you’ve got your map, you can find the first plague outside Roam Café Bistro, then set off into the park. Please ensure minors are accompanied by a parent or carer when crossing Sundon road. The trail loops round and returns to the café afterwards. Along the way you will find all types of native British trees on the plagues, including a Lime Tree, after all Linmere was named after the Lime Tree!
Beavers from the 1st / 3rd Houghton Regis Scout Group become the first Linmere Tiny Acorn Trailers!
The trail will help little ones burn off lots of energy, whilst having fun in Linmere Park along the way. Happy exploring and don’t forget to collect your sticker for completing the trail when you return to the café afterwards for that well earned cuppa!
