On Friday 28 November 2025, the RT Hon Alex Mayer, MP for Dunstable and Leighton Buzzard, paid a visit to Linmere to view the progress on creating shared, green spaces and biodiversity on phases 1 and 3a.
The visit was planned in support of Alex’s role as Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Woods and Trees, and her campaign work for stronger protections for ancient trees, tree planting and the use of natural features to improve flood management.
Hosted jointly by the Linmere Delivery Team and Barratt Homes, Alex began her visit with a tour around recently completed homes on Linmere Phase 3a, as well as meeting some of the divisional sales team currently enjoying considerable success in completing sales on the new phase.

The visit concluded with a walk around trees and shared, green spaces on Phase 1, particularly around Betony Meadows, Sallow Field, and Box Crescent, to demonstrate how the Linmere Masterplan is using sensitive landscaping, ecological corridors, walking paths and trees to encourage biodiversity to improve the life experience for Linmere residents.
Mark Woolfe, Sales & Marketing Director Barratt Homes, North Thames Division commented: “It was a pleasure to meet Alex Mayer and help to host her second visit to Linmere. It provided a good opportunity to showcase some of our most popular homes on the fast-growing Phase 3a, and explain how energy efficiencies are being achieved in our design and development.”

Emma Farrier, Community Marketing Manager for Linmere added:
“Linmere is encouraging a lot of interest in Westminster, and it’s great to welcome Alex Mayer so close to the UK Housing Minister’s recent visit. With Alex’s position on the APPG for woods and trees, there’s a genuine interest in our master developer’s approach in using biodiversity to create places to live, not just homes to live in. It’s great to share a genuine passion for green investment with our local MP and we look forward to inviting Alex back in Spring 2026 to view progress next year.”
